Thank you so much everyone who made it out the Oliver Arts Center two weeks ago! The show was a great success and the turnout was huge. Seriously- the cheese selection was gone within the first hour.
Thanks so much also to the Photo Collective and everyone who worked so hard to organize it. May there me many more photo shows and cheese platters for us in the future.
Here are some snapshots I got the night of---

The Quiet Life Camera Club!
ever heard of it? Probably not.
The Quiet Life Camera Club is a website to which anyone of any level of photography can submit their work, and subsequently become a member. Every once in a while these guys will pick out a little bunch of the submissions and include it in their online photo gallery; some will even eventually make it to their nifty photo-zine which they put out every once in a while (I'm not sure how often).
Anyway- a while ago i submitted a couple photographs and they were kind enough to include one of them (my logo image!) in their online gallery.
Check it out! There's actually a few pretty stunning images in this collection.
Also- a few of you e-mailed me and asked about where all my other photos were. I have all my important sites linked on my profile here, but the best gallery I've got is on my Flickr page. Also if you've never seen my website, y'all should check it out. I uploaded a new flash series there over the break.
Hope everyone had a great food-induced coma last weekend! If any of you missed out I bet Fuddruckers probably has some affordable food-coma substitute you could get in on. Bring the kids! They'll give you crayons!

Photography Show at Oliver Arts Center
Next (not this!) Wednesday The Photo Collective is putting on an all-photo show featuring CCA students and faculty. It will be curated by CCA alum, David Huff (creator of American Mythologies and curator at Pro Arts).
It's looking like it's going to be a really great show! There's going to be some extremely talented people participating, I think including Jim Goldberg and Larry Sultan (both who are showing work right now in the Stephen Wirtz Gallery and MoMA SF) and the reception should be much fun.
I also found out yesterday the my piece "Pfeiffer" is will be exhibited in the show! There will be lots of interesting people with weird hair, tattoos and ear gauges. Wine... food....... that's many reasons. Unless there's some fantastic Holiday movie coming out that same evening, I suggest you try to make it out.
That being said- Queen Latifah's "The Perfect Holiday" looks life changing... might be a tough call.
